Transformation
Grace and Mercy is all we desire. Above all, we desire love. When was the last time you said to yourself, “I love you.” Not arrogantly, not pridefully, not haughtily, not selfishly. Have you genuinely looked at yourself in the mirror as if you were a child (or your beloved pet) and said, I love your eyes. The shade is beautiful. You remind me of summer. The eyes are the window to your soul.
Perhaps, the condition of our hearts determines who we are and the quality of our lives. The heart is the center of our well-being and our struggles. This battle to renew our hearts is more like a battlefield underlying every struggle in our lives. All negative emotions and unwanted behaviors come from the heart, except those linked to specific medical conditions. How many times have you said to yourself, “I want to change,” but truly couldn’t? We all want to be in a better place, emotionally, physically, or even spiritually. We all feel a universal urge to do better, but it is truly a reflection of our hearts that is a disease of torment without true peace. We struggle to be present with our own presence. We can’t even go to the bathroom without our own presence, and yet we have this disease of torment deep in our hearts.
perhaps, may we desire our hearts and minds to be fully transformed.
