perhaps

perhaps?

There’s a quiet kind of tiredness that doesn’t always come from doing too much, but from feeling responsible
Overwhelmed with the weight of the world over our shoulders to decide, respond, and move… right away. The weight that makes you breathe heavily, despite how many times we take a deep breath.

To answer now.
To figure it out now.
To fix it now.
To be certain now.

And over a period of time, all of a sudden“taking your time” can feel like you’re falling behind… even when you’re not.

But we’re taught that pace doesn’t always serve us well.

We’re often taught to move with urgency. Even in moments where clarity hasn’t fully formed. So we respond quickly, make decisions sooner than we’re ready, and speak before we’ve had time to process.

Not out of carelessness but out of responsibility.
Out of wanting to do the right thing. Because we feel obligated to. Because we fear letting someone or anyone down.

And still, the impact can linger. All of our actions reveal an outcome.

In decisions, we wish our thoughts lingered.
In words, we would have spoken more carefully.
In a life that looks full… but doesn’t always feel aligned.

So we began practicing something small, but still.

A single word:

perhaps?

perhaps I don’t need to respond right now until I understand
perhaps when I do, I can respond with faith…
perhaps I can sit with this a little longer
perhaps clarity will come if I give it the space it deserves.

It’s not avoidance.
It’s not indecision.

It’s thoughtful pause.

Slowing down didn’t take away strength
It brought more intention into my decisions.
More care in my words and actions.
More peace and stillness in my day-to-day.

“perhaps” in a world that moves quickly is a quiet, grounded decision.
we can move forward—with intention, not pressure.

So we created something simple to carry that reminder with us—especially on the days that feel full:

perhaps?
Just a gentle, steady reminder to pause and be still. Things are not meant to be permanent. After a period of time, it shall pass.

For those who want to practice this more intentionally: perhaps, daily
